Mechanical Engine Training January 22, 23, 24

The Mechanical Diesel Engines course is 3 days in length. This course will discuss all the mechanical engine components of our Kubota engines and their operation. Emphasis will be placed on testing, inspection and assembly of these mechanical components. Diagnosis will also be a part of this course, with numerous hands on activities. This course is a requirement needed to obtain the Skilled Technician level, Advance Technician level and Master Trainer certification in Mechanical Diesel Engines.

Activities include:

  • Proper disassembly of an engine
  • Engine reassembly procedures
  • Compression testing
  • Cylinder leak down testing
  • Engine diagnosis procedures
  • Injector nozzles testing
  • Kubota special service tool usage
  • Electric governor overview
  • Timing fuel system
  • Engine measurement
  • Part inspection
  • Service manual usage

 

It is required all attendees complete the online prerequisite courses before attending this class. Each course will take approximately 20 min to complete.

Engine Basics (Core Parts) courses 1-8

20020 – Core Parts 1: 5C & Piston

20021 – Core Parts 2: Intake & Exhaust

20022 – Core Parts 3: Cooling

20023 – Core Parts 4: Lubrication

20030 – Core Parts 5: Maintenance

20050 – Core Parts 6: Piston Seizure

20051 – Core Parts 7: Oil Consumption

20061 – Core Parts 8: Engine Oil

The hotel will have breakfast provided and Northern Power will provide lunch each day.  Students will be responsible for their own dinner each night.
